A new milestone for the Afghanistan Premier League
Three franchise agreements and the unveiling of the Koh-E-Zafar trophy mark the next step for APLT20.

The Afghanistan Premier League T20 took another step towards its next edition on 25 August, when three franchise agreements were signed and its Koh-E-Zafar trophy was presented at a ceremony in Kabul.
The announcement named Akcel United Kabul, Shekib Rahimi Balkh Zwanan and Bullfrog Kandahar Warriors. Organisers said work on the remaining franchise arrangements was continuing.
The ACB also announced a player registration opening date of 30 August and a draft planned for 27 September. A complete tournament schedule and venue details were to follow. The league’s first edition was held in the UAE in 2018.
