Gurbaz began his List A career with Khost Province in July 2019, followed by first-class cricket with Mis Ainak later that year. His domestic Twenty20 debut came for Kabul Eagles in July 2022. He was named in Afghanistan’s Test squad for the Ireland series in February 2024.
